The Veterinary Pathological Diagnostic Laboratory performs cytological, histopathological, immunohistochemical and histochemical tests of animal tissues: dogs, cats, rodents, small and large ruminants, pigs, horses, exotic animals, poultry and exotic birds. Cytological laboratory where fine-needle biopsy of tumors is performed with a complete, rapid cytological assessment of smears. In the immunohistochemistry laboratory, expression tests of selected nuclear, cytoplasmic and membrane antigens are performed with full analysis of staining results in digitized preparations. The laboratory has a histopathological specimen scanner equipped with a digital camera and a fluorescence camera, with full software enabling the evaluation of test results.
The Veterinary Pathological Diagnostic Laboratory also performs euthanasia, autopsy examinations of all animal species, autopsy reports and issues medical and veterinary opinions on behalf of procedural authorities, investigators, insurance agencies and private individuals.
