Department of Pathological Anatomy was established in 1967. The first head of department was Professor Tadeusz Szuperski. In 1970, after reorganization of Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, then Division of Pathological Anatomy was consolidated in Institute of Infectious and Invasive Diseases.
In 1993, independence was restored and the name changed to Department of Pathological Anatomy. After another reorganization of the faculty in 2003, Division of Pathological Anatomy became a part of Department of Pathology and Pharmacology.
Since 2009 exists as independent Department of Pathological Anatomy.
