History
The Department of Epizootiology with Clinic of Infectious Diseases was created on 1st February 1970 by prof. zw. dr Henryk Janowski, who was the first head until 1984. In the years 1970-1986 this unit was functioning as a Clinic of Infectious Diseases within the Institute of Infectious and Invasive Diseases and next the primary structure was restored into the Departmentof Epizootiology with Clinic of Infectious Diseases. In the years 1984-1995 the head of Department was prof. dr hab. Zbigniew Anusz, prof. zw. and next from 1995 until now prof. dr hab. Wojciech Szweda, prof. zw. In 2003, after Faculty`s reorganization, the name was changed into Division of Epizootiology in the Department of Infectious and Invasive Diseases. From 1st January 2009 the unit is functioning under the name of Department of Epizootiology. In the years 1970-1985 the unit was located in block 11 in Kortowo I, and from 1985 it was moved to the new building of Institute of Infectious and Invasive Diseases in block 105, M.
