Brief history
The Department of Clinical Physiology has been founded in 1997 as a division of Faculty of Veterinary Medicine after Senat of the Academy of Agriculture and Technology (since 1999 University of Warmia and Mazury) resolution. Organisation and menagemant has been entrusted to prof. dr. hab. Franciszek Przała.
In 1999 head of the Department became prof. dr. hab. Mariusz Majewski. At that time the Physiology employed three research workers: dr. Agnieszka Bossowska, dr. Joanna Wojtkiewicz and dr. Sławomir Gonkowski, as well as technical assistants MSc. Anna Piękos and MSh. Zbigniew Liminowicz. Prof. Franciszek Przała retired in 2004. In 2008 professor Mariusz Majewski together with dr. Joanna Wojtkiewicz, dr. Agnieszka Bossowska and MSh. Zbigniew Liminowicz moved to Faculty of Medical Sciences.
Since March 2008, the Department of Clinical Physiology has been headed by Prof. Ph.D. Jarosław Całka. In addition, the current department is composed of research workers of prof. Sławomir Gonkowski, Ph.D. Michał Bulc, Ph.D. Katarzyna Palus and tree participants of doctoral studies in veterinary medicine. Marta Brzozowska, veterinarian. Filip Mazur, veterinarian. Aleksandra Karpiesiuk, veterinarian. and technical employee MSc. Andrzej Pobiedziński.
